Hello everyone! Tara here—
National I Love Yarn Day is coming up fast and we’re making plans to celebrate here!
This yarn-y holiday is the second Saturday of every October, so this Saturday the 14th is the day we get to celebrate all things yarn.
Originally started in 2013, this is a day to crochet, knit, donate yarn or finished projects, and swap yarn with friends.
Or you can buy more yarn for your stash—did you know that Annie’s is having an Inventory Sale? Check it out HERE and grab some incredible yarn brands at a discount!
This year, Lion Brand, Yarnspirations, the Craft Yarn Council and so many others are celebrating with Make One, Teach One—you make a new, easy pattern and teach someone else to make it too.
Or check out Annie’s Kit Clubs and sign up for some of our Kit of the Month Afghans, which have video tutorials and teach you every stitch you need to know to complete your very own knit or crochet afghan.
But the goal of this day is not just adding new members to the crafting community through education, it’s to celebrate all crafters and unite all of the different crafts that use yarn, like macramé arts, weaving, and rug making too!
Let us know how what projects you’re going to work on in the comment section!
