Hello everyone! Tara here—
We have some exciting news!
Did you know that Annie’s is coming out with a new crochet kit club?
This time, we’re making an afghan with Tunisian crochet.
If you’re new to Tunisian crochet, or even new to crochet in general, you’ll learn all the stitches and techniques from the easiest to the more complex, one step at a time.
For those of you who a more experienced, you can pick up many new tips, tricks and textures as we complete this unique afghan together.

Tunisian crochet is a fascinating technique that has been around for centuries and, while historians aren’t entirely sure where it started, we do know is that it’s unlike any other type of crochet.
Some people call it a cross between knitting and crochet since the stitches can look so much like knitting and the fabric it creates can be dense like knitting too. This makes it perfect for afghans!
With over 25 different textures and techniques in this afghan, there are a lot of fun new stitches to try. We start with the basics and work our way up to the more complicated stitches.
But don’t worry—I’ll be there with video tutorials to help you along the way!
In the video tutorials, we go over things like blocking, gauge, and seaming techniques, as well as each of the stitches to make sure your afghan turns out beautifully.
With the videos, our Kit Club members also have access to a Digital Stitch Guide, which is located at AnniesKitClubs.com.
A membership gives you all of the yarn, patterns, digital stitch guide, and video tutorials you need to complete your afghan, but you also get a special starter pack that includes stitch markers, a tapestry needle, and 3 Tunisian crochet hooks.
This starter pack comes in your first kit so you can start stitching right away!
This Tunisian Crochet Afghan club also comes in three different color options.
You can stitch your afghan in the Americana colorway, which is red, cream, beige, and three different shades of blue.
There’s Wildberry, a bright and fun colorway with pinks, peach, blue, green, taupe, and cream.
And, finally, there’s the Natural Pearl colorway, which is a gorgeous cream that matches every room and really lets your stitches and textures shine.
Check out our Instagram and Facebook to see photos of this new club and let us know which colorway is your favorite!
I can’t wait to see which afghan you make.
