Hello everyone! Tara here—
Have you seen the new Winter issue of Crochet! Magazine? I’m so excited to be able to share a look into the issue, which hit the stores 9/27.
Make sure you Subscribe to the magazine get new content!

It’s our 20th anniversary and we’re showing our appreciation with cozy projects for everyone, so pick up your copy HERE and get stitching.
With the holidays just around the corner, I wanted this issue to be all about projects that people would love to give as gifts. There is nothing like the feeling of giving someone you care about something that you made yourself and the projects in this issue are all pieces that anyone would be thrilled to receive and use, even outside of the holiday season.
The 26 designs in this issue are divided up between three main sections and the regular beginning sections:
The Beginning sections in this issue focus on quick and trendy items.

There are Toasty Pocket Warmers, the beautiful periwinkle Waves hat, the Quick & Cozy Scarf, and the project that was featured on this issue’s cover, which is the super trendy and comfortable Bijoux Poncho. The Crochet Tutorial walks you through making beanies for your whole family, using yarn that you already have in your stash—even if it isn’t the same as the yarn used in the pattern!
Holiday Happiness features eight designs that would be perfect last-minute gifts for any of your loved ones!

Some of our favorites from this section are the Northern Woods Scarf, which has an incredible texture to it and is the perfect project for makers who haven’t played with cables yet. It would be a great gift for anyone! We’re also loving the Beary Fun Indoor Snowball Fight and the Reilly Reindeer Pillow and Blankie, which are sure to become favorites of the little ones in your life. And you’re sure to love the pocket built-in to the Reilly Reindeer Pillow, where the Blankie can be safely stored.
The Winter Bloom Pullover has had corrections made to it, so if you’re working on this pattern at the moment, reach out to pattern_services@annies-publishing.com with your questions. The corrected pattern will be available HERE soon.
Magical Monochrome includes six show-stopping pieces that are made in black, white and shades of gray. These projects are classy, modern and guaranteed to look good with anything you pair them with.

The Harlequin Sweater is an absolute favorite of ours! Entrelac crochet is a great introduction to Tunisian Simple Stitch and using three different colors of yarn make this sweater stand out. We’re also loving the Slanted Squared Lapghan, which is made in C2C blocks that are sewn together at the end, and the One-Row Ruana, which shows you just how easy it is to turn a rectangle into a stylish wrap.
Fireside Chats has seven incredible designs that are exactly what you want to have when you’re sitting around a fire on a chilly winter night.

You can’t have a winter issue without including cozy projects that are designed to keep you warm, and we’re loving the Cascading Comfort Shawl and the Double The Fun Beanie (which is two hats in one, so you can wear it with the solid side showing or flip it inside out to have the lacy blue side showing). The Victoria Fingerless Gloves and the Ceralena Sweater are also on our must-make list.
Let us know in the comments what your favorite project to gift is!
