L.A. Yarn Bombing

If you have never tried yarn bombing and always wondered what is involved, now you can try it without fear of having to stealth about late at night. The Craft and Folk Art Museum has asked the knitting group Yarn Bombing Los Angeles to help them cover the facade of their building in granny squares and many are needed -- 5,000 in total to be specific. In turn, the Yarn Bombing group is asking crocheters to contribute to this huge project.

If you would like to participate in the project, which they call "Granny Squared," you can send 5-inch granny squares, each one made in a single color: cyan, lime green, orange, hot pink, purple, yellow or white, by March 1, 2013. They even have a "Granny Meter" that keeps track of their progress. Send your squares to:
