For Blossom mat:
  • Medium (worsted) weight cotton yarn: 50 yds peach, 10 yds each white and yellow
  • Size G/6/4mm crochet hook
  • Tapestry needle

Gauge

Gauge is not important for this project.

Pattern Stitch

Long single crochet (long sc): Working over sts of previous rows, insert hook in sp indicated on 2 rows below and draw up lp to level of working row; yo and draw through 2 lps on hook.

Blossom Mat

  • With yellow, ch 5; join to form a ring.
  • Rnd 1 (RS): Ch 1, 8 sc in ring; join in first sc.

  • Rnd 2: Join cream in sp between any 2 dc; ch 1, 2 sc in same sp; ch 1; *2 sc in sp between next 2 dc; ch 1; rep from * 10 times more; join in first sc. Fasten off.
  • Rnd 3: Join blue in any ch-1 sp; ch 1, 2 sc in same sp; ch 1; * 2 sc in next ch-1 sp; ch 1; rep from * 10 times more; join in first sc. Fasten off.
