Crochet World – June 2016 is here!

After months of work choosing the perfect projects and watching each issue come together, we’re always excited when we finally hold the latest issue of Crochet World in our hands for the first time!

The June 2016 issue is filled with fresh summery themes sure to get your crochet hooks flying!

Crochet World_June 2016

Of course, we love the Point Pleasant Wrap featured on the cover! This crescent-shaped shawl is crocheted with a solid-stitch body pattern that is beautifully accented with a diamond filet border. Wouldn’t it be beautiful for a summer wedding?

We had a hard time deciding which projects to feature from our Garden Party chapter and finally chose these two gorgeous designs:

CW_June 2016_Gerbera Beauty

Gerbera Beauty by Gemma Owen features pineapple motifs in this spectacular oval-shaped doily! We love the pop of color used for the flower motif and picot edging.

CW_June2016_Wild Rose Bag

And we think the Wild Rose Bag by Jennifer Ryan is the perfect accessory! Make it in your favorite color and you’ll have a fun new bag for summer!

CW_June 2016_Seaside Cowl

The Seaside Cowl by Gwen McGannon from our Seashells by the Shore chapter is on our list to crochet, too. This quick and easy accessory looks great with jeans for casual wear or try it with a pretty top and skirt for the office. Quick to crochet, this would make a nice gift too!

CW_June2016_Trade Winds Throw

The Trade Winds Throw, designed by Margret Wilson in a lacy open shell-stitch pattern, will add a dramatic touch to your home. We love the summery color which reminds us of vacations at the beach!

CW_June2016_Ice Cream Sundae Coasters

For a touch of whimsy, crochet a set of Kenneth Cormier’s Ice Cream Sundae Coasters. Ice cream always makes us smile and these coasters are a cute no-calorie version of summertime’s favorite treat!

And that’s just the beginning. Make sure to go to the Crochet World website to see all the great projects in this issue! Happy Crocheting!
